Spring Wedding Trends
Earlier this year we embraced all that is spring and transformed our space into a pastel delight. Take a look at how you can make the most of those delicious spring colours for your own wedding day.
On August 26th, Beachside Dojo opened it’s doors to host it’s very first Bridal Showcase. We teamed up with Northern Beaches Wedding & Events and showcased twenty of the North Shores best wedding vendors. The angle was brunch and the brief was spring florals.
Now that we are in the midst of spring, we wanted to share with you our favourite trends that we pulled off on the day and things to keep in mind when planning your own dreamy wedding. There is definitely a reason why they call spring the official wedding season….
Pastels
While pastel hues tend to work well all year round, they’re exceptionally popular during the spring wedding season. A change of season means new florals and naturally, pastels bloom in abundance from September. The trend is timeless and instantly injects a touch of romance to your wedding day.
Cherry Blossoms
If you are lucky enough to set your wedding date to coincide with Cherry Blossom bloom season, we definitely recommend embracing it! Their sheer beauty and uniqueness will set your day apart. You’ll need to be quick though because they don’t last long. Usually blooming for a couple of weeks in late August, early September.
Light Refreshments
Flowers and decor are not the only things that can change with a change of season. Make a note to think about your drinks menu! Adding a spring inspired cocktail on arrival to your day will instantly get your guests in the mood. A light refreshment like some frose or a spritz is the perfect party starter, looks amazing, and tastes even better!
Layered Textures
Don’t be afraid to mix and match your table layers. Use a combination of textures to create depth and elegance. Adding a touch perspex (menus) will finishes off your look without taking away from the layers beneath.
A huge thank you to the incredible team from Little Lane Events (styling) & Wild Lotus (florals) for helping us create all of the above looks. Now that we’ve got your spring wedding style sorted, take a look at our fabulous spring wedding special, now extended til next year!
